Miserable bitch that i am but folk get on my pigging nerves most of the time.

Its got worse as ive got older too.
I make no bones of the fact that its not a healthy or an advantageous trait of mine, but there you go.

On here i can slag folk off...get my arse kicked, i can tell you funny stuff that has happened, and you will laugh with me, i can tlel you how things REALLY have made me feel, from yesterday to 20 years ago, and you will say, its ok, i know what you mean. Some will say "actually, i disagree and this is why" this makes me think in a whole new direction that i would never ever consider.

I spend too much time on here i know, but i like it, and i like you all (mostly) and i like thae fact that there is always some one here.
So ta very much Grin

I'm a bit like this. For me I think it's just laziness,I sometimes can't be arsed too tired to get out of the door. I really should make more of an effort [embarrassed]

If you are unreasonable, then so am I.

I "socialised" with real people last night and will be doing it again later this afternoon. This should see me through until December.

Also, my "friends" get uptight if I show up in my pyjamas.

When i say "right im off" they get huffy and reckon ive only been there for 3 minutes!
Call me picky, but 3 minutes is long enough in my head.

My kettle is regualrly broken, and i never seem to have milk in, so although i would LOVE to have people round, its out of my hands im afraid.

YANBU - I much prefer to be on here than to "socialise" in RL Smile

I am one of those people that let other people walk all over me though Blush

YANBU.

Here you can discuss stuff that matters, or that you find interesting, without having to do all that smalltalk bollocks first. I love my rl friends, but sometimes its just so much more interesting to come on here and get straight to the point without first having to ask after their children, ill parents, job crisis, holiday plans etc, and talk about the same in return.

YANBU. I would like to have more people around me, but I'm fairly crap at getting to that point. So I MN

YANBU. On here you can chose whether you need to hear from someone about which colour tiles they should chose for their new bathroom or which packet cake mix is the best...I honestly can't believe the trivial crap that comes out of some people's mouths & the fact they would think anyone could be interested in it. If that makes me some kind of antisocial twunt, fine by me.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 28/08/2011 13:26

YANBU. I can socialise with you lot without having to get dressed out of my PJ's and do my hair and makeup.

I like people, I am quite happy to socialise but I much prefer the comfort of home and the presence of Mnetters.

Yeah Grin Why can't we all wear our pyjamas all the time?? And just walk away from a conversation if we've had enough of it? Barge into somebody else's convo when we feel like it, or silently lurk without a word?

Real life has much to learn from MN!!

I don't think YABU at all but am totally the opposite. In RL I am very out going but on here I tend to just wander around the boards for a nosy.

I would love to, but totally don't get the 'spirit of MN'. To me it is just words on a screen.

That doesn't mean I don't enjoy MN - there are some very, very funny people on here but I'd sooner socialise in RL. I think most of the time MN is just something else for me to read.

I suppose the great thing about these sorts of places is that everyone can use it in their own way.

That's a long winded way of saying YANBU.

Bubblesincoffee I agree. I love to talk about more abstract stuff, but people do like to do the chat thing first, and often that taes up the whole conversation.

Also idon't have to look at topics which don't interest me, like last night's TV, but in real life when someone is going on about TV it's not socially acceptable to say,' I'd rather you farted than listen to you talk about big brother'. Whoever he is.

I'm the same at the moment. People are just oo stressful. Sometimes I don't want to talk, sometimes I just want to lurk and in RL that can be very difficult (bitterly remembers woman who kept on looking at me and EXPECTING me to entertain her yesterday, FFS). Other times, I want to chat. For now, MN is much much easier

I can't be bloody bothered with smalltalk at all. Or the boring frigging details of other people's day. Oh the window cleaner didn't come till 10 and he's usually there at 9, and guess what, I had to give him a fiver because I didn't have £4.50 in change, do you think he'll remember he owes me 50p OH PLEASE JUST FUCK OFF WITH YOUR BORING SHITE.
This is why I love textmessages and emails. I am one of these irritating people who never answers the door or the phone. I reply to texts when I want to. My phones are for my convenience, not everyone else's. Can't stand people ringing me up after I've sent a text.
At least with MN you can drift about, joining in or just reading. No one asks you about your day, what you have planned, what you are having for your tea. Well, if they do, you can just ignore it anyway.
You can ignore all the stuff that doesn't interest you ("My husband has been dipping his wick all over the place"). You can ponder feminism or stereotypes or commiserate with someone with a poorly pet.
You can sit in your pyjamas with your hair looking like a bomb blast victim and no one comments about it being 3pm and no one in the house is dressed.
And yes, I'd rather listen to farting than a conversation about Big Brother.

Another one shouting that I'm the same.

A clear diary page with no plans at all, not a single one, is my idea of heaven.

I even get a teensy bit knocky with DH today when he said we have to go see his parents as that meant I had to (a) get dressed out of my PJ's and (b) put make up on. On a Sunday

I'm really pleased to see lots of my fave MNers on this thread agreeing too. That's why I luff them so.

harry come to the wolef thread and be silly with us :)
