Oh my daughter has just squealed on seeing that house.

It's pink, ergo it's perfect!

Practise that face!!!

There's a pic of my house on my profile. You can see it's a nasty mustard and brown (last painted in the 70s). It will look soooo pretty pink. Husband just has no vision :o

this house has been allowed to stay this colour but had to remove the ads, so no rules against pink houses! Grin

Tina, that one's gorgeous too. Without the ads though.

I think the kind of houses are the only kinds that look good in bright colours, what kind do you have? Try googling "painted lady houses"

you just have to do it... and keep practicing the face

I think a pink house might be the way to go!

Lola, my house is a wooden one too, although quite a bit smaller and plainer. There is a small pic of it on my profile.

I have a cunning plan. I'm going to tell him I want this one, and then negotiate down from there.

I would actually be pretty annoyed if my OH did this, not that there's much danger of him doing so, I would really dislike having a pink house. Any colour should be discussed and agreed on together, therefore YABU. But I guess I'm the fuddy duddy in this thread lol

OMG that last one HAS to be styled by Disney (Good starting point for negotitions tho'!)

Kladdkaka · 16/08/2011 15:15

Dizzy, if I thought my husband would be annoyed I wouldn't do it. I know him well enough to know that he'll roll his eyes, mutter under his breath about 'never getting any bloomin respect in this house', all the while being secretly amused and also relieved that I haven't accidentally bought another dog/cat/rabbit/tortoise/other homeless critter.

Pink is a very traditional colour for older houses in East Anglia.

Honest.

I think my DH would love that Disney-esque house!

Yes quite, piprabbit, much of Suffolk looks like a candyfloss factory. The houses match the beautiful pigs Grin.
