hello, just a quickie, taking my two girls to paultons/peppa pig world on thurs, and im worried im not gonna get on the rides with them, i lost 4 st last year and made it to alton and thorpe as a size 16 and it was fab, have since gone back to a size 22 and im worried im gonna get there on thursday and find there are rides i cant squeeze on. anyone of ample arseage been there? i know there is still a load to do there, but dd1 is a thrill seeker (at 4) and will want to go on all the rides she can (and so will i!)
am i setting self up for a bit of embarrament?
there are no test seats like in thorpe and no size requirements on the website.

last time i went to a theme park a few adults had to get off after attempting to fit into the seats.....humiliating for them!!

i wouldnt attempt it if unsure as all eyes were on them!!

Went there last year and phoned before hand as have disability. They were very kind and helpful.
Many of the rides you sit 4 or more in a seat so would be fine. Not sure about peppa pig as that was not finished but expect they are child only anyway.
Have a fab time and ignore the prats. Your kids are the ones that matter

bubbub, a lot of rides also have a maximum chest size because of the 'harness' that is pulled down over your shoulders and chest. (Like Nemesis at Alton Towers.) If you are more than a certain 'chestage', the harness won't lock into place.

It's about 46"?

Mind you, I don't know what sort of rides they have at Paulton's Park. I would give them a call, like Agent suggests.

I went last week and I don't think any of the rides would be a problem at size 22. If your dc is a thrillseeker then make sure she is 1m 10 as otherwise they will not let her on the bigger rides. My ds (5) just made it to the height and absolutely loved the Cobra! Beware the Peppa Pig section will be really really busy!

i have to say i am as blessed in chestage as i am ample arseage. lol. i am generously sized in all departments.
there are no over head harnesses in paultons its all pretty tame stuff by the looks, mainly lap harnesses.
i might give them a call, i might just turn up and wing it. avoid ones that look like only tiny bottoms will fit.
am still hoping to hear from someone in similar clothing to say, "i went and it was all fine!!!" that maybe wishfulls.
quite cross with self for sneaking back to this size when i had had so much fun as a skinny 16, planning to do fright night at thorpe again this year so need to get my arse in gear really!!! thanks all though

I know some of the rides at Alton Towers have bigger harnesses at the edge.

I know because I got put into one of the bigger ones on Oblivion and I wobbled around in it and didn't feel secure. I honestly thought I was going to die and had to be given sweet tea to get over the shock when I got off the ride.

Good luck with your trip bubbub and I hope any future slimming goes well- you have a brilliant incentive with your little girls.

Hi.

I know this is an old post but just wandering how you went, I'm going in July and am a size 20 and have a 40G chest and am fearful I may not fit on rides!!

Any help would be appreciated! Many thanks!!
