I need a slap.

I'm in a happy relationship of two years, I have a beautiful 5 year old daughter, my partner is happy for us to have a baby in a year when we have spent a bit more time as a couple, even though when our relationship began he was clear he didnt want more children.

I DON'T WANT TO WAIT.

It's not just impatience, all I bloody think about is having a baby. I saw a comic strip picture of a couple asleep with their newborn after a homebirth yesterday and it actually brought a tear to my eye.

How the hell do I get some patience because I am really getting bored of my own brain.
I want to persuade him, but I know I can't. Slap me, please. HELP!

I'm really not, I have loads going on in my life and I really enjoy it (although I do work with families and babies, which probably doesn't help!)

its ok, once you have the baby you will be moaning about having to take care of it, when can you go back to work, trying to dump it off on whoever, and never having me time Grin

at least that seems par for the course here :)

"I saw a comic strip of a couple asleep with their newborn after a homebirth yesterday"

What you saw was an idyllic fictional picture that you must know bears little relation to reality.

In just a year's time you can the ranks of sleep deprived parents who wonder whether they'll ever get another full night's sleep.

Wait your turn, and in the meantime

Well at least I've got a smile on my face while I continue to think about it now!
