to tell me aunty shes making a mistake

ok so yeah, i should keep my nose out but a few weeks ago, on her wedding day,an hour before the ceremony my auntys bf ran off with her bridesmaid.... my aunty had a but of a breakdown and ended up in hospital needing treatment for depression and the breakdown...... shes just told me shes back together with him... he isnt a nice man, all my family apart from me and my dad have fallen out with her because of him and her daughter wont speak to her either aibu to tell her to that i think should be careful but i think shes making a mistake but i will always be here for her?

Why would her family abandon her for her poor choice? I don't really understand that. I can understand that they'd refuse to see him, refuse to socialise with him, ostracise him even... but not drop your aunt. :(

Yes, you can tell your aunt she's making a mistake, she most certainly is and she probably knows that. Say it once, don't labour the point and carry on being her niece. That's all you can do really.

But if another wedding invitation, involving the same combination of people, flutters onto your doormat... RSVP in the negative.
