For my Children to be quiet sometimes??

My ED runs everywhere, if she is not running she is cartwheeling through the house, or playing tag with YD through the house, running everywhere, landing, stairs, in every room, or jumping off the bed or sofa, sometimes just sometimes I would like them (especially ED) to be quiet, read a book (never) play in her own room with toys, she has never really done this. Don't get me wrong she will be quiet when she first comes in from school, because she switches on the tv to watch repeats of her favourite programme (she can watch the same repeat over and over lol), and when she has friends over she doesn't run then either, infact she doesn't know how to entertain kids when they come for tea, I always suggest something otherwise they just end up in front of tv. Do any of your older children run around like headless chickens or just mine?

try having one that runs round like a headless chicken and who thinks it is delightful to bounce off mummy on every lap... (he gets the benefit of all that extra padding )
