sadly we do nothing special for any of them - never have a babysitter... :( have had one night out child free (and that was to a school thing!) this year

About once a month we'll grab the chance to go out for a bottle of wine & a chat.

Odd bath together with bottle of champagne.

Weekend away, just 2 of us, once a year.

Every other weekend we do something, depending on time of year we..... have a bike ride with few ciders at the end, or chilled window shopping holding hands, trip to the beach or moors where we snuggle up on a blanket, baths together, cooking and sharing our fav meals at home with a few drinks orcuddled up on sofa watching back to back episodes of 24 with dh stroking my hair......bliss

Absolutely nothing whatsoever.

Dh occasionally buys me a crunchie or a random bunch of flowers.

We are not romantic.

No babysitters here either so just (occasionally) have dinner together after the kids are in bed... if feeling rich we may splash out on one of those £10 meal-deal things from M+S. Oh the romance.....!

JustcallmeMummyPig - yes I have two dcs aged 9 and 8. They visit my ex h every other weekend and I make the most of my free time. It has only been recently that I have enjoyed the time guilt free, thinking actually the dcs are with their father who can shoulder the responsibility for once.

Oh I thought you meant like ON a "special date" iyswim?

We are very lucky in that my parents live locally and have our DD quite regularly so my DH and I can have some time together.

Last weekend I put blankets and cushions all over the floor in the middle of the lounge and we had an indoor picnic with all our favourite food and champagne. To be honest, for us, 'romantic time'
normally just involves good food + wine + sex.

why would we do anything specifically for those dates? What a waste of money. But we never leave the other's presence without saying 'I love you' (and meaning it) and giving eachother a kiss (even to pop next door for 5 mins). I was a teenager when we first met and, many years on, we are just as besotted with eachother as we were then.
