Kids are all out in our street (ages 6-12+).

I love the happy noise of children of a summer eve,reminds me of when I was young and out happily playing.

YANBU at all. I work term-time so enjoy my time with DS. Its scary how this week it has got to 8/9pm when DS has started yawning and I've realised the time - its nice not clock watching.

Only just DD to bed, she's been poorly all week so today was the 1st time she's been out in the garden, so she's been having fun with the dogs and cuddling her guinea pigs, she went to bed happy and exhausted. Off to Lands End tomorrow :)

Mine have only just gone up, even my youngest who is 2!

The DDs played out till about 9ish with other DC from our block of flats, and DD2 is only 3 . It's lovely for them to chill a bit, YANBU :)

My grandma always says she let her children out til dumpsy in the summer as there was nothing worse than children in their rooms awake and looking out of their bedroom windows of a summer evening wishing they were playing too.
