I have never studied this part of Mumsnet. I am probably misunderstanding it.

Gabby, you post nowhere else Grin how can you not know how AIBU goes?

You have an opinion on an issue, or something has happened and you feel a particular way about it.

you post the details of the situation and you ask if we think your pov or situation or actions or whatever are reasonable or not. You invite our opinions on your situation/actions/thoughts

we then kick the holy crap out of you tell you whether we think you are being reasonable or not.

oh. Blush and here I thought he was finally asking how the AIBU board works Grin

well, if it's webchat with a famous person, MNHQ start a thread saying X is coming on, and people post questions. X comes on, reads thread and answers some of the questions.

WHY ARE YOU SHOUTING GABBY??? oh and please name change back.

It seems to be usually about famous people but how does it work in practice? I used to thinkthey did it live in real time. and just answered the questions.

It rather dpends on what you are talking about.

If it si the live webchats then yes, they do it in real time and just answer the questions.

As far as I know there are live webchats which take place in real time.

And there are the Q and A sessions - you out your question within a given time frame (several days usually), the questions are then passed on the the guest who will go through them and answer them, MN then posts the answers.

Often they are questions to some sort of advice/help organization, - such as finance etc.

The Q and A chats are usually posted in the live webchat section - should you want to take part in one Smile
