can only call them and check,my dh lost his found it a week later under the bed!luckly!had to have it made a bit smaller,wanting on a claim for his mobile at the mo,he had it stolen out of his pocket at a concert,only had it 2 weeks

Have you called the centre you did the abseiling at?

your DH may have taken it off if he was changing clothes afterwards. It may have been handed in?

Yes, travel insurance should cover it. If you'd lost a camera while on holiday it would cover that, so why not a ring?

Some house insurance covers personal possessions while out of the house, some doesn't.
