We have a disabled badge for DD2 because she has asthma. Today, she and I nipped out to Sainsburys to do a bit of shopping and I parked in a disabled parking space. As we got out of the car, a middle aged man and his wife came up to us and asked us whether we were aware that it was for disabled people. I told them that we were, that DD2 was disabled, and that we were displaying the badge. I also reminded him that not all disabilities are visible. He then called us both 'wankers' and made a point of writing the registration plate down. He said that he was going to report us to the DVLA, and accused me of having made the badge myself. I told him that he could do what he liked, but that the badge was genuine, and I would be remaining in the parking space. I waited until he had moved off before leaving the car myself, but when I came back, the car had been keyed. Obviously, I can't prove it was him, but I'm willing to bet that it was. I won't be hearing from the DVLA, will I? AIBU?
