DS with egg allergy, how will this affect his vaccinations?

Has anyone got any experience of handling the immunisation programme if your child has an egg allergy?

DS had the 12-week meningitis jab last week and got a rash afterwards. After much speculation about excema DH mentioned he had an egg allergy when he was little and friend mentioned this might be related. I am off to get DS tested.

I am wondering which vaccines this affects and what the risks are. I know the MMR is one of the vaccines, but having the MMR done separately won't solve the problem because it is the measles part of the jab that has the egg protein.

Experiences?
Risks?
At the moment I am all in favour of getting DS immunised regardless and giving him Calpol to handle to painful rash.

Ds has only just outgrown his egg allergy this year. He is 7rs now.

He had all of his vacinations and had no ill-effects from them. The gp told us that the amount of egg in mmr was negligable.

At that (when he had mmr) stage ds would have reacted to any food that contained egg.

There was another thread on here about the egg/swine flu vaccine. Have a look on there as other people mentioned MMR. V interested as dd2 egg allergic and has MMR in a few months. Hopefully her egg challenge will be first. Though as allergic children generally more vulnerable to getting bugs/having them worse than others/taking ages to shake them and a rash is only side effect of jabs may be worth just doing it?
