Constant running nose...any ideas?

dd (15mo) has severe eczema and allegies to egg, lentil and some fruits. Since December she has had a constant running nose (and I mean constant!). She started nursery in January and so we and the doctor have put it down to infections from there. However nearly 5 months later she still hasn't had a day without a dripping nose.
She isn't sneezing and her nose doesn't seem to be blocked. She is teething (late starter teeth wise, getting first ones in Jan so been fairly constant from then til now). However I'm wondering if this could be an allergy. Any ideas anyone?

my DS had eczema and a runny nose (and chesty cough) all the time until I switched from cows milk to goats...

DD1 gets a very runny nose (more in one nostril than the other) whenever she has had too much dairy. She has no allergies.

worth switching to goats milk and see?

does she eat a lot of cheese, milk etc?

could be asthma? my dd2 has a runny nose nearly all the time and is quite chesty most of the time and has been diagnosed with queried asthma, which runs in my family.

asthma and eczema are linked so it mighht be worth getting it checked out if he is chesty at all

Thanks she isn't chesty but was wondering about asthma as I know dd is high risk with egg allergy and eczema. How long would i need to exclude dairy for to se if any effect?

my dd's runny nose is pretty thick mucous - when she blows it the results are quite impressive!

is your dd's more like a watery drip?

The "watery drip" is called Rhinitis by the docs.It is inflammation of the nose caused by an "irritant".That may be..... Pollen,allergic reaction to something ingested(as you are saying: Dairy)or Dustmite.It seems,though alot of books and docs disagree(?!)that everyone I know always reports a Runny nose when they are teething.I would imagine excluding Dairy for 72 hours + should show a result.If she has been Teething since January,then maybe thats it.I'd try the Goats milk etc.cant hurt.But if you don't get any vast improvement,put it down to teething.If when the teething stops,you are still worried I'd look into ways to reduce Dustmite maybe.....?
