Recommendations for a good GF cookbook for a newly diagnosed friend?

Hi

A good friend has recently been diagnosed with coeliac disease and needs to go GF.
Can anyone recommend a good GF cookbook that I can get her as a belated birthday gift, so that she has some ideas of new recipes?
She eats most things Smile but doesn't have loads of time to cook.

She's also trying to lose weight, so nothing too rich/calorific.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations

Dk do a good basics cookbook that I have and will buy for my gf kids when the time comes

There are also a couple of gf magazines that you could buy her a copy of if you are looking for ideas

If your friend is online savvy I pick up a lot of recipes on Pinterest which are often rated so give a good idea of their success level

To be honest unless your friend is into baking, gluten free cooking is just ordinary cooking whilst keeping an eye on the ingredients of certain things to make sure no gluten creeps in.

We are a gluten free household but if someone ate with us for a week they wouldn't realise unless we offered them a biscuit or if they wanted toast in the morning.

We just eat normal food with one or two gf substitutions (pasta and pizza bases)

You could buy her a years membership to Coeliac UK which has a useful food scanning app and loads of advice and support but at £24 pa it's a bit pricier than a book!

I really like 'River Cottage gluten free'.
If your friend is a baker, 'Honeybuns' is great, as are the Hannah Miles gluten free cookbooks.
