Dairy free 'cheese' that melts. How could you Tesco!

Last year people on here were kind enough to recommend Tesco's free from milk, medium soya cheese that actually melted to make pizza...
We've gone through blocks of it since then for cheese sauce, pizza etc
Tesco have now stopped selling it Sad and brought out lots of new 'cheeses'.
Has anyone tried any of their new dairy free cheese? Do they melt?
I just don't want to spend loads and it then not melt! She loves the violife for normal eating so don't need it for that.

Violins pizza cheese melts quite well

Their mature cheddar is disgusting. DD refused it twice and it was stinking our fridge out so I threw it out without persevering further.

tatohead Thank you - where do you buy it? I've googled violin cheese, but can't see anything... was it an autocorrect for violife cheese? I don't find that melts so well for pizza, but that might just be me!
Bringmewineandcake I might avoid that one then!!
Thank you both for replying Smile

Sorry yes violife

I used to find it at the whole foods health shop. It's not the same as 'normal' violife, it's specifically for pizza and melts well.

I also preferred the mozzarella and smoked violife 'cheeses' better than their plain one in terms of flavour

Oooh! Thanks tatohead I'll have to look out for those. I've not seen the different versions of violife!
She loved the Tesco soya block so I didn't bother trying anything else... hopefully she'll like those just as much.
Thanks again.

I've seen Ocado do it, so probably Waitrose too

I didn't realise this either till the delivery the other day. Haven't tried DS on it yet because he loved his orange cheese and the new one is white.

We have bought the Sainsbury's grated dairy free though and DS says it's white cheese but tastes like the orange cheese! Melts nicely too.

Thanks tatohead I'll look in Waitrose next time I'm passing.
Bonkerz I've not seen that in our local Sainsburys- I'll look out for it if I go to a larger store.
Thanks both.
