Gluten Free Christmas Niceties?

Any recommendations?

I'm planning stuffing with GF sausages (Heck) and Mrs Crimbles stuffing mix.

Any idea if GF blinis exist?

Aren't blinis just teeny pancakes? Gf pancakes are very easy

Premadonna, re the stuffing - I find it is much much much cheaper to use a gf granary roll, add sage and onion and smush it. Mrs Crimble is a profiteering harridan!

Hmm. Maybe. Like breadcrumbs, bit of sage, onion etc? What else?

I shall try a gf mini pancake

M&S have a lot of nice gf Christmas food, I've pre-ordered the pork, sage and onion stuffing balls with pigs in blankets.

I've taste tested the Cole's xmas pudding it tastes fine but was chewy. Am going to test the tesco one next.

I'm too lazy busy to do much cooking in advance. Sainsbury pudding as tasteless.

The M&S stuffing is always really nice, and they usually do a pack of stuffing balls, chipolatas, pigs in blankets. They have gf sausagemeat too.

I didn't like the coles pudding last year, but the Tescos mini one I tried the other week was v nice

Asda are doing stuffing nd pigs in blankets this year that are gf.

We love the m and s stuff.

I make my own stuffing and freeze it, get a baguette and liquidise into breadcrumbs, add tons if dried sage and a pack of dried onions - freeze it in a big bag and just use what I need.

Gf loaf smashed into breadcrumbs, chestnut puree, sage and onion, some Black Farmer brand gf sausage meat, mix together and bake with bacon strips on top .... yummy.

I went into an M&S foodhall the other day to look at gf stuff and could find nothing! I must be looking in the wrong place.

It's not specifically gluten free in M & S. Their normal stuff just happens to be GF IYSWIM.
It's all lovely, have ordered the lot from there this year as we are on holiday till Christmas Eve so I didn't want to faff.

The tesco finest free from xmas puddings are delish. Unfortunately only in individual portions but can get 2 for £3 so won't work out too much more than the normal finest ones.

I found a 'free From' family sized (454g) Christmas pudding in my Tesco's last week. It was £4.

We're gluten and dairy free which can be a bit of a faff.

Got a gluten free Xmas Cake and Xmas pudding by "The Village Bakery" at local health food shop. Haven't done pudding yet but by look of what is left of Xmas Cake DH is finding it pretty yummy.

Also got gluten free mincemeat by the Foods of Athenry from there. Make toasted sandwiches with Genius fruit loaf in place of mince pies for DH. also stuff a baked apple with it and this morning layered some with a sliced bana for him and heated it up in the oven as a breakfast sweet hot treat as he had an early start.

Got some amaretti for me as I don't really like dried fruit and they are christmassy especially dipped in melted chocolate bit like a florentine enough for me. Booja booja truffles also fab. Especially th ehazelnut ones, though I have got DH some caramelise dbanana ones as he likes bananas so much I call him a monkey sometimes

The shop is great- it's called Realfoods and they will deliver orders over £24 for free by next day courier. their deadline for xmas delivery is midnight on Sunday. Huge gluten free/dairy free range .I used to use the service all the time when we lived in the Scottish highlands and it always got there on time.

A bit late to this but I made gf blinis by using a tesco recipe online and they were a big hit.

It turns out that Delia's Christmas cake recipe is perfect made with Dove's gf flour.
