My son is 2 years 9 months and at 5 months old went into anaphylactic shock with a yoghurt.
Since then food after food he reacts to. Ranging from anaphylaxis to non-ige reactions (stomach pains and mucous in his poo).
We are seen at St Thomas twice a year. They are fantastic.
On Thursday we saw them and some allergies are worse but his cows milk weal on the SPT has gone from 10mm to 5mm in a year.
So they asked me to do a home trial.
24 hours ago I gave him a tiny bit of biscuit with baked in cows milk butter. And hes just had loose nappies full of mucous.
Ive emailed the dietician and wont give him any more. But I wondered, those who have been through this, is this normal?
Does this mean the trial ends? Is it good to keep giving to try and desensitise the body or can carrying on be a detriment?
Again Im waiting for an email I just thought id see if anyone here had experience.
TIA.
