Hello, i am rather clueless about intolerances but am getting suspicious. I was hoping to mine the great wisdom of mn to see if i'm just being a bit mad or if there might really be an issue :o
Dd is 10 months and a few weeks ago we started having porridge for breakfast. At round the same time she started getting terrible wind, soft smelly poo and waking in the night howling and writhing. We put it down to teething, stomach bug, random unknown baby thing and didn't connect it to the porridge at all.
However, I then ran out of oats and we didn't have porridge for almost a week and dd's stomach settled and sleeping improved. I still didn't make any connection until we had porridge again and that same night she was up farting and crying again.
3 days later and no oats and she seems to be improving again.
The thing is I don't know much about these things and was wondering if it is the oats would you expect her to be showing signs soon after eating rather then later that evening? Also it has taken a couple of days before any improvement after stopping eating oats, is this normal or would you expect her to be feeling better quicker?
