Some friends of ours have their celebration hearing next week and we are going to their celebration party afterwards. I'd like to take a gift for them as a family and wondered if anyone had any ideas of something suitable. They have two under 5 DC. Thanks.

I'd take a small gift for kids and something for the parents to keep. An engraved mug, celebration plate, nice photo frame engraved with date.

I went to a celebration hearing today for dear dear friends and their adopted son who is 3. I bought a puzzle and a book for the little boy and a small plaque with a message about following your dreams until they become reality, or something like that.

The parents and some us friends were very emotional and tears were shed but they were happy tears.

I am so happy I shared in their experience today.

Little boy's foster parents were also at the celebration hearing and the buffet laid on at home after. It was great knowing a little tiny bit more about his journey so far. Not actual details but a bit of info about their home life and their grown birth children. The adopted boy was their first foster child. They are really nice people. I congratulated them on what a wonderful job they had done for him.

The little boy absolutely adores his new parents and I am very proud of them all.
