Bloody government bloody privatising CAMHS!!

This is rant.
I know many people on here have had mixed experiences with CAMHS but mine has been good.

We have been through hell and back over the last three years and I could not have coped without the fantastic support I have had from my support worker at CAMHS.

DD1 has weekly psychotherapy and I see my support worker every 6-8 weeks. We have great relationship and sometimes our sessions are the only place where I can be authentic and get validation without judgement.

Now CAMHS are being bloody privatised and all the good staff are leaving. I am scared as to how I will cope without this support and what the future of support for DD1 will be

Rain that is terrible. So sorry. But focus, concentrate now on what you can get in place. Make as much noise and fuss as you can to get what you need. Good luck.

It has already happened. We got a letter a few weeks ago and now the service has name changed and staff are leaving.

I will give more details if you PM me, don't want my location on the boards.

The thing is, it's the individual worker who means so much to me. She has supported me for three years, through DD1's suicide attempt, my divorce, my shocking-unexpected-and-complicated-pregnancy, the explosive and violent affect that the pregnancy had on DD1, the traumatic emergency birth of DS at 30 weeks, having a preemie DS in hospital, preemie DS being very ill and critical, DD1's ongoing complex mental health issues (including making false allegations against DP and trying to harm DS and DD2 which led to two SS/police investigations and assessments), relationship breakdown, bereavement, being burgled and other stuff that I will remember later.

I feel very close to her and we have a great working relationship with lots of mutual respect. I am devastated.
