Law with the ou

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this so sorry if not. Has anyone done a law degree (or any degree I guess) with the open university and if so how hard was it? Would you recommend it? And what are you doing now having done it (if you've finished it)? Thanks

I have got a Computing & IT degree with the OU.

It was one of the hardest things I have ever done but I use my degree everyday as I am currently training to teach Computer Science.

@reallymate Hi! I'm currently doing my Higher Education Diploma in Law with the OU so I can attend university via UCAS in September 2019 for my actual Law degree. (I'm 19).

I've been told a few times from careers advisers at college and from various brick universities that a law degree is going to be hard either way, but you're best off attending an actual brick uni in person to complete it as it 'looks like a better degree' than an online one- as you don't do as much person to person stuff online such as lectures, speaking and work experiences. Law firms look for graduates with actual experience, ready to hit the ground running iyswim. This is why brick universities are beneficial for this as you an join societies (Law & Mooting usually) and you'll often have had a chance through the university to visit different firms and even complete paid internship years through them.

I personally wouldn't do my degree with them as it just doesn't cut it against candidates from brick unis. (I also think it would be harder to do online too! Don't put yourself through that!)
