Recommend me an office chair

I'm looking for a new office chair as my current one is knackered!

There is such a bewildering array of choice, I don't know where to start.

I work from home in a full time desk based role. I'm about 5'4" and 11 stone. I have problems with tension at the back of my neck and a slightly curved spine so a good chair is really important.

Any recommendations gratefully received please!

I bought an office chair from Cult as my "office space" at home is also in a bedroom, needed something a bit sleeker!

its very comfortable

Thank you! Those chairs look really nice but most of them can't be adjusted.

No one else has bought an office chair recently?

Get one from a used office furniture company. They're good for the planet and you get more bang for your buck
I got a really good Erco chair recently from a used showroom.

I use a saddle seat had it 10 years great if you have a back issue.

I have a (second hand) Secretlabs chair and it's ridiculously comfortable on my back but they are STUPIDLY expensive.

A very good and cheaper alternative is the Markus from IKEA - mega comfy.

Someone is maybe going to come along and tell me this is terrible long term for your back etc... but when WFH happened I ended up buying a gaming chair from Amazon and I absolutely love it. Reclines, footrest, arm rests, pillow for your neck and pillow for lumbar. My desk is in the corner of the living room and one of the DDs ends up in it every night to watch TV.

I also have a laptop so I rotate between the desk + gaming chair, the armchair with a blanket if I'm cold, bed, and the floor with those glasses you use to lie flat and still see what's in front of you. I figure as long as I switch things up enough it shouldn't cause too many problems 🙈

Apparently the SecretLab chairs are good and highly adjustable. I've been eyeing up one. They come in different sizes according to your height and weight, and have neck support.

Decent gaming chairs can be better than office chairs because they're designed to be adjusted in more ways to support your body correctly.

Amazing! Thank you for your suggestions. Super lab are on my list. I don't mind paying more for the right chair that will last and be supportive.
