Argh. I bought a king size bed frame from Oak Furniture Land in June and the earliest delivery was promised for 20th October.
In that time I looked on their social media site and was really dismayed and quite alarmed to read tweet after tweet after tweet of angry customers complaining about their orders from months ago still not arriving on their due delivery dates, and likewise delivery time being pushed further back another few months at least.
A customer service rep reassured me that my delivery will arrive 20th October.
Today I received an email saying I had to pick a new delivery day as delays meant my order is not available. The earliest date is 15th November. Customer service is not getting back to me now.
On Facebook, they have removed all negative comments (even though the posts notify 50+ comments), but you get the gist of things as there are loads of angry emoji's posted.
What can I do now? I really need the bed frame, obviously. We've been sleeping on the floor . Aanother month to await delivery is not very palatable, but what else is there to do?
Is there a chance I could get a refund from my bank? I don't know if I'm being unreasonable to request it or not, or if I should just wait and see.
One tweet sticks in my mind - a delivery date was repeatedly pushed back a month at a time. The poor lady was absolutely fed up of her hopes being dashed each time the next month came round, only to receive yet another 'sorry, your order is not available' email. She had been waiting upwards of a year!!
What should I do?
