Why am I proving I'm not a robot?

The past week I've been using google it has been asking me every single time to prove I'm not a robot.
Has this been happening to anyone else?
It used to happen once in a blue moon, but lately it's 10+ times a day.

I'm not googling anything dodgy I promise!
Just boring stuff like local tip times or Halloween treasure hunt ideas!

Prove you're not a robot and we'll reply. Wink

Haha. I installed a virus check app and deleted my cookies and data and so far so good!

Because you are training Google’s AI and image recognition.

That’s what that actually is.

Its looking at your browsing history to make sure that you've done normal things (checked the weather, looked at news, logged into something) before coming to that page. If you've done nothing just before going to that page it wants to know you're real by clicking the traffic lights. Oh and this trains AI to recognise stuff on the street for driverless cars technology.

Wow the AI stuff is certainly a surprise!
I'll try to remember to google mundane stuff like the weather more often and hope that cures it!
It's v frustrating when I'm in a rush and need to spend a couple of minutes clicking pictures before it lets me in!
On a lighter note, has anyone googled Halloween? There's a little 3D ghost you can hide in your room for the kids to find. Kept mine entertained for 20 minutes!

I guess we know what a sidewalk is now.

And does even a tiny part of a sidewalk in a square have to be included?
