Hi ,I’ve got a thread going, similar to this
But I I just was hoping people taking it for other reasons ,may not of replied on my other thread
I’m struggling a lot with the side effects of feeling sick ,and I’m just wondering if anyone had any tips
I’m taking them with food ,but the sickness kicks in about 3 hours after I’ve taken them
I don’t want to give up on them just yet ,as they are working for the reason I was given them.
I’m hoping the sickness is just my body getting used to them .
Has anyone found anything that works

Sorry you're suffering. I was on carbemazepine for a short period some years ago. I had to stop them because they didn't work for me- but we're all different, so fingers crossed for you.

What would you usually do if you felt sick? Eat something dry? Sip water? Eat ginger? Could you try the same?

Could you ask a pharmacist for advice? Some medications I've had caused reflux which made me feel sick. Some medication for that helped.

Good luck & I hope you feel better soon

I've taken them since about 2012 for trigeminal neuralgia. It's the only thing that works (most of the time) 99% of the time I get no side effects at all, however I did feel very nauseous at first, it wore off an I only get get the sick feeling after my bedtime dose sometimes, usually if I'm run down anyway.

Thanks guys ,
I’m hoping the sickness is me getting used to the tablets,I’m taking it for TN as well....
The sickness is the only side effects...so I’m greatFul ,as the pain was horrendous, so I will just have to Put up with the sickness if it doesn’t go ,as I can’t not take the tablets
