Jet2 refund!

I booked flights to Portugal for August and was worried that I would've get my money back (£1.5k). I don't want to travel this year so would rather have a refund.

Jet2 sent me an email to say that my flight times have changed. I asked them if I could have a refund and they have processed it. A big thank you to Jet2 for making this painless. What a company! Will definitely book with them when I'm ready to travel again.

That's good to hear. I got an email from them saying our flight to Greece has been cancelled and I could either book an alternative flight or wait for them to get in touch about refund. Hopefully they won't be too long then.

They were brilliant when they had to cancel my holiday. I thought they'd try to fob me off with vouchers or rebooking. I wanted a refund, as I didn't want to rebook anything just yet.

They were fine about it, and the money was back in my account 4 days later. I will definitely book with them again!

In the email they sent to me they only gave me two options - change date at no extra cost or a flight credit note (if I don't use the credit note by 30 Sept then they will give me a full cash refund). They didn't give me the option of a full cash refund immediately.

I looked on their website and it says that you can refuse the credit note and ask for a full cash refund. That's what I did and they gave it to me.

Bit naughty of them not to tell me in the email though. That's my only criticism of Jet2. Otherwise they have been great!

I had flights booked with Jet2 earlier this month. They refunded the money straight back to my account as soon as they cancelled the flight. I didn't have to do anything.

Well done Jet 2. I will definitely book with them again.

easyJet and Eurocamp could learn from Jet2 customer service.....

Love Jet2, fly twice a year with them from Manchester and have never. ever had any problems. I do hope they manage to stay in business.

How did you contact them? I received the same email but was told to wait for them to contact me?
I've tried to call but on hold for an hour so give up.

They sound a lot better than Ryanair. Slimy bastard has been coming up with lie after lie and very few people have had their money back for flights that were already cancelled back in March and April.

We booked for Croatia in September, do not want to go. Our balance was due in 2 weeks. Cancelling after the balance due date would increase the cancellation charges (before due date would be £120 deposit loss only). From experience I knew their emails would be backed right up so I went down the route of sending a next day registered letter cancelling my holiday. A week later I had an email, this was last Tuesday.

They asked if I wanted to change to another date. I said no and asked them to cancel.

The next day I had another email confirming the cancellation and the refund of the amount paid on top of my deposit saying that money would take 7-10 days. It was in my account 48 hours later. They also sent a very personalised email wishing us well.

So, go the old fashioned way, write a letter, send registered, they have staff opening the post and it may be quicker than email at this time.

Good on them.

I've tried to call but on hold for an hour so give up.

I wrote on the "contact us" form on the Jet2 website. They responded within 24 hours. Good luck!

They have come out top of a couple of surveys about refunds.
I flew with them for the first time last year and after hearing how good they have been I will certainly book with them again

Just here to add how amazing they have been with me and a refund too! Never been abroad before and just happened to pick jet2, I hadn’t got a clue! And so glad I did!
