On a decluttering mission.

My house is full of crap and I'm determined to purge it. This evening I've sorted out my wardrobe and drawers and they actually close! ⭐

Tomorrow I'm going to clear out bedroom shelves and make piles for the loft, charity shop and tidy. Please keep me company and motivate me... It's worth it to see a tidy space. I've been looking at the same cluttered areas for years 🙈

Well done!!! I pestered a friend until he finally went into my loft today for me (I know I should do it myself but I really really can't. Heights. Ugh) I took a load to the tip, have a boot full for charity tomorrow too. It feels so satisfying doesn't it!!

I've had some major clear outs since kicking my STBXH out last December, my house is waaaaay better for it.

Ah fab @geeraf! Great work.

Today I feel like utter shite with a sore throat but am determined to tackle a bit of decluttering today and visit the charity shop.

I’ve just emptied our wardrobes and bagged up lots of old clothes while DD has a nap. I try and do this to all our cupboards every three months as I cannot stand clutter. Anything not used/needed in that last three months is binned.

It’s a pain but so worth it when you sit back in a tidy, uncluttered space with a glass of fizz Grin

I have been doing this a bit at a time in past 6 weeks since the birth of dc5! I think i have gone wrong though as i have done bits in different rooms instead of focussing on one room

@IVEgottheDECAF nothing you've done is wrong because it's all an improvement on what was there before Smile well done!

I even went into the loft! Go me! Dumped a load of keepsakes in there which won't be looked a for a while but I can't chuck. Plus bags of summer clothes. Charity shop run done, I did buy 3 things but all really nice and needed. The shelf is still looking at me but I might get onto it today.

Anyone who manages to declutter with a baby is a hero in my book!

Yes! I'm with you. Currently on maternity leave and fed up with looking at piles of crap everywhere. The cupboard under the stairs is piled high and I haven't touched most of the stuff in there in years.

2 huge bags of clothes went to charity this weekend. 1 to recycling. Massive bag of DVDs to charity. One box to music magpie. Tip run done as well. Will keep chipping away in the next few weeks Grin

I'm on a decluttering mission too. I actually don't have a great deal of stuff but baby is due in 6 weeks and we're hoping to move before hand or shortly after. As I'm off I'm tackling a bit each day. This morning I've done the dreaded Tupperware cupboard. Every time I opened it plastic fell on me so I've decided it was time! Good luck everyone else! It does feel good once done.

I'm in the midst of decluttering hell, or started by accident on Wednesday with a section of the kitchen work surface. 10 large bags to the charity shop so far, a boot full of rubbish and recycling ready to go to the tip, a new shelving unit later and there's still loads more to do! And stupidly it's DD's birthday party tomorrow so the house has to look reasonable by then!!!!!!

Music magpie is a great idea. We have Netflix and sky movies now so never use our dvds. Shifting them would free up some space.
