Hey girls, new to here so not sure if I'm doing this right. I'm in desperate need of some advice or people that have been through the same to tell me what could happen. At my 20 week scan I got referred to fetal medicine unit due to the sonographer finding fluid in babies head. After the scan at the fetal medicine unit we got told that our boy has severe bilateral ventriculomegaly and a very small and underdeveloped cerebellum. They never said what the measurements were all I got told was there is a chance he could be still born or not live long after birth :'( I was wondering if any mums have had babies born with the same and what there outcome was? I cant be happy and enjoy the pregnancy as I'm constantly worrying about what is gunna happen. I have 5 other kids that are keeping me going but I've not told them anything yet I'm not sure how to or how they will react ect.

I’m sorry to hear you’ve had such worrying news. I was told my baby had borderline bilateral ventriculomegaly at my 20 week scan. Can I suggest you try searching for ventriculomegaly on Facebook groups? I found them to be hugely helpful. It’s likely you will be offered torch screening, amnio and an MRI. Feel free to PM me. The Facebook group is called ventriculomegaly.
