"Barkley" or "Barclay" dog - possibly Mothercare?

If only the toy had a tag.....My 4 year old absolutely loves the preschool soft toy dog named Barclay. Hound dog, brown, pink tongue. I do have a picture (can you upload these here?). Most importantly, it's helping him get over his terror of dogs. Guess what the one and only toy request for Father Christmas is? Oh yes. This toy has no tags at all, and, worse, was a tombola prize to the son of the preschool owner about 8 years ago. One of the staff thinks she saw one a few years ago in Mothercare. They also say that they are sure that the name was "Barclay" or "Barkley" on the original tag.

We are preparing our son with a letter to come from Father Christmas explaining how unique Barclay is and that he may give him one of his brothers...but if anyone recognises what the brand / origin this is I may still be able to find the exact match. Anything's better than "soft toy hound dog" searching...
