Best Christmas Pudding 2020?

We normally have two Xmas puddings over the festive season - a very traditional one and then an interesting one for New Year.

In the past we have loved the Heston Waitrose hidden orange one, been disappointed with the Tesco Finest cherry topped one.

As far as traditional ones go, we are still searching for the perfect pud.

Aldi specially selected was good, but their standard one was nothing special.
M&S and Waitrose standard ones we didn't like, Tesco one was ok. Expensive Lily Puds one was nothing special either.

Lidl's luxury one always scores very highly in the ratings, have you tried it?

Plus they do a salted caramel type 'alternative' one and yesterday I noted that in the freezer they have a luxury chocolate bombe style one with hot salted caramel sauce, and a choc one shaped like a house. I can't tell you more because I had to hurry away or I'd have broken my 'no Christmas til December' rule Grin

I haven't tried Lidl, we haven't got one near us, so we'd have to make a special trip.

But very intrigued by chocolate house-shaped pudding, that might be worth making the trip for.

This one:

They have an app now where you can see all their festive food, in my experience it is very good, we did all ours last year from there and will be doing this year too

We get ours from here - first tasted in Bath Christmas market a couple of years ago and they are delicious! Some different choices - we get the traditional and then an apple and cider. Both lovely (and I’m not usually a Christmas Pud fan). Nice to support an independent as well: www.georgieporgiespuddings.co.uk/

Just wanted to say thank you, we decided to order lots of individual Georgie Porgie puddings, so everyone can have a different flavour.

Still haven't taken the plunge on the traditional pudding though.
