Anyone have one? My DD asked for her birthday but we resisted but she is still asking so thinking on it. They are over £200 and go for only a bit less second hand. I want to make sure it is worth it before committing

I don't have one but my dd is very keen for it. I have however managed to convince her the campervan is more fun as it moves, still has beds/kitchen and a swimming pool etc! She is now very excited for campervan and it's only £75 rather than £230+ for dream house.

Does she definitely want the dream house?!!

She does annoyingly...think it is tv advertising driving it. Campervan looks significantly more affordable though

My DD is almost 6 and has been asking for the dream house every single day for about 2 years.
Just lately she has also started to mention the LOL house too. So now I'm stuck.

We already have the camper van, had it about 18 months and she has played with it almost everyday so for £79 it was a good buy.

I didn't buy my daughter the house as it was so expensive. But a friend go her a 2 story 4 room barbie house with a pool. She has loved it and plays loads and loads with it. It's massive. Takes up tons of room. Is made from cardboard and plastic. But has lots of play value....and because of the size more than one child can play.

So can you afford it? Will she look after it? Can you find a second hand one more locally? Now is the time to look.

We got our girls an Asda dupe of the dream house and it's been brilliant (admittedly they haven't seen the "real" one though). It is much, much cheaper and has had a lot of play- maybe worth a look?

My dad is desperate for a Barbie dram house too! I am going to get her this instead https://www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/toys/fashion-and-dolls/doll-houses/isabelle-s-doll-house/p/145509?gclid=CjwKCAjwtNf6BRAwEiwAkt6UQuM0eEIu2yKiWMNyRrZGV9Hf9YFmf-gPk7UBHUbrUQTkoeDaS5fkBoCq6UQAvDD_BwE

A friend has it and it's really big and comes with all the furniture! She won't notice the difference once it's open.

Shall have a look for other versions as really don’t want to spend so much. Already looked at second hand and they are still £180!

@lostlalaloopsy your dad? That made me chuckle 😂

I had a cardboard box when I was a kid and I loved it! My neighbours had the dream house and it did seem very fancy.

My dd (4yo) had one for Christmas last year from grandparents. She loves it and has had a lot of use out of it. The LOL's, Vampirina, equestria girls and disney princesses hang out there as well as barbies.

So its very expensive, but pretty sturdy and she plays with it every day. They take up a lot of room, if that's a consideration.

We had one a few years ago when dd was younger. They have deals on them in Argos regularly iirc. The quality of them is awful, if I'd paid full price I would have been really upset but wasnt too worried as I got it very reduced. Very flimsy and didnt take long for bits to start falling off.

Following as my DD wants one, either for her 6th birthday or Christmas. I can’t quite bring myself to spend upwards of £200 on one so I’m also watching a few kidkraft alternatives. Smyths toys also have a massive one. I don’t know realistically how much she would actually play with it. It’d have to be a lot for the amount of space it takes up!
