Many moons ago Early Learning used to sell a set of toy food cans with Velcro lids. I would love to get something like this for dd Christmas but cannot didn’t anything with Velcro lids!

Also wanted to get some more realistically sized Food items to go with her toy supermarket but they all seem to be tiny. Anyone know of anything suitable?

All the kids I've looked after have had more fun playing shops with real cans and boxes from the kitchen cupboards than they did with toy food. You could start saving clean, safe packaging for her to play with - cheap and environmentally sound too.

We have Melissa and Doug ones and they're ace. And last really well (5 years so far).

I save the odd bottle such as hand wash or ketchup, give it a wash and put similar coloured tissue inside. That's always a hit here.
