Where do you all get your wrapping paper? I would like to get some a bit special for the teenagers stocking (as I have drastically reduced what goes in them this year with their knowledge) we have for many years used the 1 type pr stocking I have been searching but when I find some I like its SO expensive.

Any ideas?

I mean this in the nicest possible way - it goes in the bin.

@Mickhasnotorso really??? I had absolutely NO idea..

do you not ever do anything simply because its fun and makes someone else smile and feel cared about?

I bought some cat themed paper that I know my DD will love.

Other than that, I tend to stock up in the January sales for less than 50p a roll. That way I get the posh stuff and don't have to pay much for it. Something to bear in mind for next year?

The British Museum (and other places) do lovely wrapping paper books, over the years we have had ones with maps, books, horses, oriental patterns etc. The paper is good quality, doesn't rip and is plastic and metal free so can be recycled or kept and reused.

I got 3for2 in paperchase. Love a nicely wrapped gift. I'm using a mix of paper with ribbon/string, bags and tissue or boxes.

We have started using brown wrapping BVpaper and potato printing on them makes it recyclable.A bit but of ribbon,Hessian or coloured string with a homemad label to pretty up the larger gifts.

I bought a red Nordic kind of style wrapping paper from Primark for 90p, 10m. Omg guys it's amazing i still have loads left and I was worried when I saw all the stuff I had to wrap up for my son It isn't flimsy either, no tears or waste.

I bought stag wrapping paper from there too for my Mr. And it looks lush. again, great quality. I'd happily buy wrapping paper from there next year.

Seriously, primark is great for wrapping paper.

I am exceptionally picky about choosing perfect coordinated designs, and I usually end up thrilled with whatever I get from Wilko or Sainsburys. Asda did a stunning shimmery rose-gold winter-animal one last year which was 99p. I have a roll of dark winter florals from Quality Save and some pastel houses and villagers from Matalan both from last year. Debenhams and Next are worth a look, but it's extra good when you get the pretty designs in the cheaper ones.

Browse the ranges. Paperchase and above it gets really pricey, but at the lower end of the price scale there are still some really nice ones.

I got some nice Harry Potter wrapping paper from a shop with very loud music selling film and games themed stuff. Don't know what the shop was called though.

I buy in the paperchase January sales for use the following Christmas. Not much use for you this year, but maybe an idea for the future :)

I normally buy wrapping paper around the 29th Dec when it is on sale.

Wilkos 3 for 2 as the quality is always decent for the price. They always do a good assortment of designs. Noticed some they have some unusual designs like unicorns, llamas and santas riding dinosaurs this year.
