Artificial Christmas Trees🎄

I was thinking with it being July I might be able to get a discounted one.

Ours is about 5 years away old and cheap when we got it. It’s got quite big gaps between the branches. I was hoping for something a bit more poofy.

Any suggestions?

We have a John Lewis tree, the Peruvian I think. It’s very realistic and big and lovely. It’s the first artificial one we’ve had.

But as lovely as it is, it just doesn’t do anything for me, I don’t get that feeling you get with a real tree.

I’ve just looked on the John Lewis website and they don’t appear to have any at the moment.

Those Balsam Hill ones are really, really nice!

I do prefer real trees but artificial ones are just easier for us at the moment. (Rented house, baby, dog, crap carpet). Plus I like getting the decorations out first weekend December

Balsam Hill , worth every penny and look way better than any that I saw in JL or our local quality garden centres last year , which were a comparable price .

We have a b&q one, will be 9 yrs old this year and its still going strong. Its full and lovely.

Last year we got a slimmer one from Range which i was impressed with, it has built in lights.

Hmm, I have two balsam hill ones which go outside. They are the pre lit type which was what tempted me. I also got sucked in by lots of MN threads.

Not worth the money IMO. Real trees look far better

I used to have a real tree many years ago when DS was young, but then I got divorced and I decided they were too much bother. Not that ex did any of the work involved, buying it, getting it home, sawing the end off the trunk, getting it into position in the lounge etc. Or even decorating come to that. It’s been artificial all the way since then.

I bought a lovely one from the National Tree Company, an American brand but from a local garden centre. It was really good, only last year 16 years on did it start to look a bit tatty. It even coped with our kitten climbing it for two Christmases. Also it was a bit too wide at the base and we are a bit pushed for space, so in the sales online after last Christmas I bought a more slim but taller tree from the same brand, but with ‘real feel’ needles on the exterior branches. It is lovely, and I am so looking forward to this Christmas and decorating it. I bought the new tree from Altons Garden Centre online.

There won’t be any Christmas trees on John Lewis website until late September at the very earliest.

My artificial tree is finally hitting the tip after 11 years of faithful service. I just can't cope with the shedding every time it gets put up or down. It's defintely getting a bit threadbare now too. Although it looks okay once it's decorated (and the vacuum has been thoroughly clogged up with a carpet full of "needles".
No more PVC tips. I want the PE realistic tips that stay on the damn tree lol.

Balsam Hill looks a bit dear for me though.
