Hi I know it's very early but I've just booked our first Christmas holiday for 2019 in st andrews Scotland and we are thinking of eating out on Christmas day for a change, I've been suggested hams game pub and grill in st a dress has anyone been there? Can anyone suggested a good family friendly place to have Christmas day lunch at? I was also told I'd probably have to book really early in advance for 2019 Grin

IAM surprisingly ! We have wanted to go away over Christmas but never had the guts to do it but I've had enough of family festive stress so with DH blessing I'd knabbed the last lodge at at Andrews forest lodges over Christmas 2019 and I've only had to put a low deposit down plus the price was a steal. I've just provisionally booked a table for Christmas day lunch at rufflets in st Andrew's so next year will be my gift! No ars#ho*e family members stressing me out, no running around prepping food housework etc Grin

Plus we are also going through the adoption process so next year we may be blessed with a new addition to join our brood Smile

Aw how lovely! If you do have a new little DD/DS then getting away from the stress of hosting will be great.

We are debating the location.

Dd wants to rent a cottage by a lighthouse.

I am pondering a visit to DBro.

Dh kinda wants to avoid his family home, but is getting the guilt trip so needs a concrete plan to counter that with.

Enjoy St Andrews!
