So BIL and Future SIL are away for Christmas so they suggested we do an earlier gift exchange, after much prompting for dates we decided on this weekend. They said come to our and we will have afternoon but now their boiler has broken. So we are having it at ours but they are doing food (sorry long preamble).

They are bring 4 packets of pastry/mostly cheese party food. What would you add to it. I need to make someone suitable for dairy free toddler that will be eaten by all. I was thinking cocktail sausage, bowl of berries and I have not got much further as I first idea were around afternoon tea eg cakes and sandwhiches.

Cold meat platter? Chicken drumsticks? Whole ham to slice? Smoked salmon?

I like the idea of a ham. 1/3 of the guests are veggie.
