Impossible request from DS- can anyone help?

DS (nearly 4) and I have been reading The Jolly Christmas Postman and he's obsessed with the cardboard peep show insert that Santa makes for the Postman. DS is desperate for Santa to make one for him too.

I use the words 'peep show' as that's what the book calls it but unsurprisingly googling that term isn't very helpful.

I've posted a photo of it below, it's like a cardboard accordion where you peep through the front to see the different scenes inside. Is there another name for these and does anyone know where I could possibly find one? I did manage to find a hugely expensive Victorian antique version, but I need something more child friendly.

Oh I loved that when my kids were little. It's called a diorama, of that helps?

Wracking brains for the term. Diorama?

Diorama, of course! Thank you so much. Off for a frantic Google now, at least he's asked on the 30th November and not Christmas Eve...

Hi OP! They love to set us these challenges, don't they?! There is a wonderful pop up book of Alice in Wonderland that has a diorama/peep show of Alice falling down the rabbit hole. The rest of the pop ups are amazing too. And quite sturdy too considering. It's by Robert Sabuda and one of my dcs favourite books. I really recommend that one. It's on Amazon.

The review I found when I was looking for the author's name mentioned the "victorian peepshow" and I can imagine that will not bring up what you want in google! Does adding "children's" help at all? But I'm sure you've thought of that! Hope you find somethings your little boy will love and that you have a great Christmas!

ButEmily that book is a wonderful idea, thank you so much.

You're right about the Googling and the tv show Peep Show isn't helping either...
