DS turns 9 in a week and DD3 turns 11 at the end of Jan.
If you have children around these ages, what Christmas presents did they get that appear to be a hit?

Hit for near 9 year old DS has been hot wires. That and everything Pokemon. Hot wires a big surprising hit though.

Ds9 - ps games and Pokemon stuff
Dd11 - make up and 'nice' things - earrings, bracelets, body shop/lush smellies

There was a knex electric rollercoaster mentioned on the bargain thread for £10 (maybe 40 normally though). Ds aged 10 loved it. Now part way through the wilco blox battleship 1metre long (was half price at £35 but never seen full price).

Ds who is 8 loved nintendo ds game pokemon moon and pokemon headphones to go with it. Star wars top trumps quiz - he can beat me at it hands down.

Ds (9) also loves the k'nex rollercoaster, (as do I, especially as it was such a bargain!)
He also got a bargain basketball hoop and basketball we have screwed in to the wall and he has been outside playing with it constantly.

12 year old dd was chuffed with her portable charger and headphones.

dd 11seems surprisingly (yay!)v happy with a box of nail varnishes she got from her aunt, plain and glitter, and embellishments. she painted all the ladies nails at the table, then took the set to her nans the next day to do hers - hoping it encourages her to grow her nails now!

9yo ds1 is absolutely loving the 'wreck this journal' box set. Also remote control car and is loving his sisters Melissa and Doug magic set. (And new footy kit, premier league football and pop up goal and training ladder, but only of use to you if he's into footy Grin)
