What Christmas traditions do you and your family have? My ds is only 2 so apart from Christmas Eve pyjamas, we don't really have any! Would love some ideas:)

A carpet picnic with loads of nibbles on Christmas night, just the four of us when our daytime guests have left. We've done it ever since our boys were very young and still do it now they're 19 and 16.

We hang the stockings up then I always read them The night before Christmas & the story of the Nativity just before bed like when I was little. They take it in turns as to who puts the star on the tree when it's decorated.

We always bake gingerbread men to leave out for Santa on the 23rd or 24th. Kids like rolling the dough and cutting shapes. My wee boy started at age 2 and my daughter who's now 2 will be joining us this year. I buy the small icing pens and they will be decorating them themselves. Makes house smell lovely too!

At my mum's house every Christmas Day after dinner we randomly have a whipped cream fight...I have no idea where it came from or who started it...but as soon as mum comes in clutching that spray can we're all in battle mode!!

One small present on Christmas Eve. My parents started it 35+ years ago, I suspect to calm us down and we all give a special tree decoration Smile

Panto and tea at the local pub on Xmas Eve before home to have hot choc.
We always have to watch the polar express and Arthur Christmas.
We always do Christmas baking like making and decorating gingerbread snowmen and angels.
DS has a handmade advent calendar that I/Christmas fairies put chocolates in. The last day doesn't get anything put in until 23rd and it is a riddle to find an early present.

We go for a walk on Christmas morning, while the turkey is cooking. It's so lovely to come back home to the smell of Christmas dinner, plus the dc (2 & 6) have had some fresh air and exercise so they aren't going crazy in the afternoon.

We didn't set out to make it a tradition, it just kins of happened a couple of years in a row, but I really like it. I guess it's the time when we would be going to church if we were church goers.
