I've been waking up like that for at least two weeks now. So has DD. We've been secretly watching Christmas films and plotting outings etc. She's 19, but is as excited as if she were 5. I've clearly brought her up well Xmas Grin

I usually have that happen randomly in August. So far not yet, but noticing some leafs changing colour and Halloween things in shops....can't be to far away!

I watched Elf yesterday Blush That's early even for me!
I do love Christmas though. It's DS's first Christmas this year so perhaps that's why the excitement has started now! Grin

Oh yes, I'm guilty of looking at beauty-product-based advent calendars too! I've had Benefit ones for the past 2 years so fancy a change this year.

Oh God - I keep seeing signs for Christmas and getting the shivers. Shame really - I used to love it before I married my DH and had the inlaws!

anyfar are the benefit ones worth it? What sort of things do you usually get in them?

14 weekends!?
Really?
Wow!

Yeah they're quite good - last year's only had 12 windows - it was "The Twelve Days of Christmas" - but the samples were things like mini under-eye concealer, mini face cream, lip tint etc. Quite good for sticking in your wash bag if you're going away overnight. I'm fancying a change this year though. I think Yankee Candle do one. The Jo Malone one looks good but it's very pricey!

I think we need a Beauty Advent calendar thread! So far I've not seen any that I want. Good news for the purse! Would like a Lush one if they're doing one for dsd.

It's the time of year I usually start thinking about it. Less to do this year as I think it will be just DH, DS and I. We have had a houseful the last couple of years and MIL before that. I'm kind of looking forward to it just being us. Planning a week in the sun over new year too.

I bought myself a Yankee Candle Advent Candle this week. Was at a Hallmark outlet shop and they had some for £19.99 which I assume were last year's as they didn't have any other Xmas stuff.

I love Lego and last year bought myself a Xmas themed set - toy shop I think - and DH got me another one but I didn't have time to build them so will start that soon. I'm away for three weeks from mid October too. Have a shelf they will look nice on.
