Gift for someone going away at Christmas

My parents are going away (locally) for Christmas, and from the sounds of it absolutely no extra food needed on top of their package! So treats like nuts and truffles aren't any good.

They've had a terrible year with cancer, I'd like to get them a gift that let's them know I am thinking of them and maybe something to make their Christmas away even nicer.

As I'm typing I'm wondering maybe his and hers spa products?

Do they like reading? What about some books to take away with them?

Are they staying at a hotel? If so, vouchers for a meal or spa day there?

If not, is there anything in the local area that you can get them vouchers for?

We did this for DBIL's honeymoon - paid for them to do something. They really enjoyed it.

Another possibility would be to have some flowers delivered to their room.

Ask the hotel for recommendations on which florist, and take it from there.
