Tablet and Laptop

Any recommendations for a tablet for a 10 year old. A Christmas present around £250 max.

iPads' or Android - Samsung, Dell etc? Really not sure as iPads' seem pricey.

Any ideas / recommendations would be great. Plus if you are looking to sell one in good condition that Father Christmas could pass off as new I'd be happy to take it off your hands. :-)

My 8 and 12 year olds have kindle fires and we have been more than happy with them.

My 9 and 12 year olds have samsung galaxy Tab A tablets. Prior to that they had samsung galaxy tab 2 tablets
