DD aged 8 has a maxi micro but wants to try and do some stunts at the skate park.

I'm happy to spend £50-£60. Any suggestions (preferably available in purple)?

Thanks.

We have a maxi micro and are getting a JDBug stunt scooter for DS 7yrs this Xmas... wont get rid of the Maxi for a while tho as I suspect the 2 wheeler will take some getting used to!

The Micro Sprite are great, but they keep going up in price!

Just paid seventy five quid for one for youngest, which will last him into adulthood if he wants, so that's my scooter buying done.

U looked into the Sprite Partybugs but it's £90. Hoping to get away with spending less. christinarossetti where did you find one for £75?

I was wondering whether a JD Bug would the job as well. The Micro ones do look good and parts are easy to replace.

Are you anywhere near to a Decathlon? Have a look online or better still go and try one out.

Have a look at the stunt scooter section on the skate hut website. My 8 year old advised Micro and jd bugs are for younger children.

Decathlon is 3 hours away from us so not a great option. Not sure if they deliver. Had a look at Skatehut website and seen a few in the right price range that look good.

Thanks.

I've just bought my ds who is 6 a Razor one from Argos. His older sister, 11, loves it too, currently 40 pounds reduced, really recommend it.

All the Razor scooters are discounted at Argos at the moment, I might go for the V4 at £50 down from £130... undoubtedly an inflated original rrp but seems a pretty good price??!!

DS has got a Madd Kick Pro from skatehut which seems to be a good make. He's 5 and its a bit big for him so I don't know if it would do an 8yr old but the make is sound and I think they do bigger ones too.

I have been looking at the micro sprite and have found then on a German site called Rollenshop. Comes in at about £60 ish with delivery Smile

German site

I also got DDs micro sprite from the German shop linked above, very good price and quick delivery! It really is an excellent scooter and will last until she's a teenager.

Really helpful advice but now I'm torn between getting the micro sprite from the German site knowing how good the mini and maxi have been, and getting something more suitable for skate parks. I might get the micro as she can always get a stunt friendly scooter at a later date once she is confident on 2 wheels.

If you don't want to replace the scooter shortly its best to buy something durable so it will last. We have bought Fuzion scooters before and they are great quality! Available on amazon for good prices too
