Never had to buy any before so don't have a clue :o where should I look? Not bothered about them being for a particular club, just cheap ones for when they kick around outside. Thanks in advance!

Definitely sports direct.

Sports Direct.

Ds has two pairs, the Sondico ones are £3.99 & are ok but for £5 the Nike ones are much thicker & padded.

Ok thanks :) I'm passing there tomorrow so I'll have a look! Are they done by age do you know? DS has only got tiny hands :o I think they'll make a great stocking filler.

Also thanks for the brand advice - I'd found the sondico ones on amazon (high P&P though hence not ordering!) but would gladly pay a bit more for better protection.

They go by hand size. Sports direct usually have a good range from cheap to expensive.

I got ds a pair from sports direct for £7.99 Nike , was a bit thrown by the sizing thing though.

Is 'hand size' a thing then?! Blush I saw sizes on the amazon one and I assumed it was ages!

My parents bought ds's first pair which were size 5 but they are huge on him (he's 10 but wears 6-7 clothes)

The ones I bought when he was with me are size 3.

Measure the width of his hand flat on a ruler before you go and take the ruler with you (measure widest part of hand, excluding the thumb). Look at the back of the packs when you get there for size guides.

Sports direct are also online and have a great clearance section. I got my son goalie gloves there recently.
