My sister and I have set each other a budget of £30 to spend on each others presents, and i'm really stuck on what to get her!

Usually i'd get her a voucher or similar, but in these last few years we've lost our parents and grandparents, meaning we're now the only ones left, so I want to give her something really special.

She's into animals, and all the pretty shabby chic hearts etc, books, candles.. Any ideas please!? Smile

That's really nice - are you looking for one big thing or maybe a hamper with lots of different things. Sometimes having a few things to open is nice - there are lots of ideas on the bargain thread - usually at the top of Christmas board. Would it be too soon/ painfull to put together a photo album as part of it. Maybe try to think of one or two old traditions to hang on to the two of you and some new ones to go forward with. Hope you find some lovely stuff and you have a good Christmas together.

I reckon Not on the high street a good bet for shabby chic type things.

Or could you get her yours and eta initials in decorative letters?

I got DD a lovely owl shaped tea-light candle hanging lantern in The Range - it was only £3.99 and they had them in orange or white. They had heart shaped ones too, in red or white, but DD is mad about owls Grin and they had loads of other candles/holders/lanterns too.
I could have run mad in there Blush as they had loads of cushions and "thingies" little interesting bits and bobs, but I had to restrain myself Grin
I am planning a "re-run" for some more stocking fillers and small Santa pressies though - maybe you could do her a stocking/hamper with several smaller things in if she likes her "bits"?

Agree with Cath Kidston or maybe some silver jewellery. It's her 21st and it's more of a lasting gift. Debenhams website has lots in your price range, when I went on it gave me a discount code as well.

CK Pjs in the sale

I have these pj bottoms and they are lovely. Theyd leave you money for a vest and slippers from.somewhere less spendy too.

Thanks for all of your ideas. Sorry to drip feed I completely forgot to mention I'm already doing her a stocking, as our mum did us one every year, so we're doing one for eachother this year.

I'll definitely have a look at The Range for stocking fillers, thanks for that idea!

I'll also have a look at notonthehighstreet, I didn't think of there, thankyou!

She loves Cath Kidston, she's got a few bags from there, I'll look at those pjs, she loves "round the house clothes". Thanks again Smile

My 20yo lovely DSD was checking out a Cath Kidston bag that was ££££ in the gift shop at Center Parcs. She only didn't buy it because of the price. I have got it for her christmas and know she'll be over the moon.

Also, if she loves Cath Kidston, then try out Dotcomgiftshop. Lots of retro, shabby chic and gorgeous stuff in here too. (They do a wicked post christmas sale in Jan by the way!).

My 14 year old dd's likes Ck and so do I ( I'm 31 ), I see quite a few young woman with CK bags.

There's lots of other places that do shabby chic though and lots of local businesses that make shabby chic things.

Depending on what sort of jewellery she likes, how about a locket?
You can get some reasonably priced ones (notonthehighstreet has some lovely ones) may also fit in with the hearts/shabby chic thing and you could pick pictures for the inside - your parents if it isn't too painful or her and you?
