Slight panic....

.....DS2 has not asked for much for xmas (only 2 things, got one and the other is too old - Lego board game). His main present from us is a leappad2 with Gran getting some games. DS1 is sorted but he was off school today and tomorrow looks unlikely. My problem is the time to get gifts for DS2 who is 4.5 from me and DH, my DM and MIL! Small gifts and then save the money in building society or spend it in new year when he can choose?? Although we have a 5 year gap we saved everything so we still keep on bring Playmobil, lego etc down from the loft. I might be able to get out by Friday but with toys shops gone and the school run to do I cant go far. I dont want to order on line as I am getting a bit stressed over gifts for MIL and DM which have yet to arrive. I was thinking of adding to Playmobil (DS1 had the castle) I like to group things together! .Any suggestions welcome.

I don't know if this helps, but I ordered stuff from Amazon earlier today and they were still promising delivery by 24th with their free delivery option.

Can you reserve and collect from somewhere like Argos or Sainsburys or Tesco and then you only have to go to one place to get the entire order. If he already has the playmobil/lego etc then I'd maybe concentrate on things that you don't have - e.g. current characters that weren't around when your eldest was little or things that No2 is interested in that his brother wasn't

My boys have a few Lego games - I think Shave a sheep would be okay at his age - it's fairly simple and the boys could play it together.

You could also get some nice books or dvds, drawing things or play doh - that will get used and thrown so as not to add to the toy hoard.

Thank you so much. Had forgotten that i can order / reserve - despite using that service before (shows what state my mind is in). Also thought about dressing up, so need to do a list when he's in bed. His own Nerf is also a good idea as DS1 has loads, it may reawaken his interest and they could shoot at each other all Christmas!!!

Christmas day isn't complete without a family nerf war - gets everyone out their seats and off games consoles ;)

Great idea....I also need a little extra gift for MIL, so all bases covered by Nerf!
Thank you!

You could use 'click and collect'? (john lewis, Tesco, sainsbo's)? most places will deliver to store next day so all you have to do is pick it up.
