Count your Christmas blessings with me....

Some lovely things have happened to me recently and I thought that we really don't celebrate our 'blessings', big or small, enough so here goes

I was a donor for the MN Secret Santa scheme and although I felt it was a small thing I was able to give, the thanks from my recipient and the moving messages from the thank you thread have really made me feel that the world IS full of lovely people

I won a load of vouchers for doing a survey and as my Christmas shopping was finished I was forced to spend them on me and the DH Xmas Smile

A close friend I haven't seen for 24 years because she lives in the far east got in touch to say she was here in the UK, we had the longest lunch ever and I was amazed at how our relationship hadn't changed. She's here for the next couple of years and I've been in this bubble of happiness since our lunch

There, I've probably made a bunch of people reach for their buckets, but I don't care. The rest of my year has been pretty crap but these things have made up for that!

Merry Christmas one and all! Xmas Grin

I had a baby this year Grin.

Also, DS is quite nice.

And DH and I celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary and moved to a much nicer house.

My Dh is the nicest, sweetest, most loving man I could have ever wished for!
Our DS has turned from a baby to proper little toddler this year and is wonderful.
We are expecting our second child in May.
We have had a lot thrown at us this year but each time we have manged to either bat it back or turn it into a positive opportunity.
I and my family are happy.
I think counting christmas blessings is a must!

We are happy, healthy and have lots of lovely (but simple) things planned with our wonderful friends and family over the next few weeks.

I have been counting my blessings a lot recently since our next door neighbours' son, who they had a lot of problems conceiving and followed several miscarriages, was stillborn a couple of weeks ago (funeral today Sad ).

Don't mean to put a downer on the thread as it's a lovely one, it's just really hit home how lucky we are but we do tend to take it for granted so am trying to be more mindful of it.

Merry Christmas everyone!

I had DD2 5 weeks ago.

I am in a relationship that works with a man who loves me and doesnt abuse me.

We have a house over our heads and enough food to eat. We are going to have a relatively vomfortable xmas. It was looking ropey there for a while after being made homeless twice and DP losing his job.

I was given some things by MNetters which have been a godsend and I hope when we are sorted we can pay it forward to someone.

I saw a friend the other day in the super market who I had lost touch with last year! So happy to finally have her number again and be able to meet up in the new year!
