My absolute favourite is wii party. Loads of mini games, we play it loads and even my 3yo has a go!

Mario Kart is my DC's favourite (ranging in age from 3 - 10)

We have Family Trainer - it comes with a mat, and lots of mini games that you do by jumping on different spots on the mat. You play 2 player, so a small child just controls one spot and an adult does all the rest.

And any of the Lego games, because an older person can do the hard bits and then the 4yo can just explore and explode bricks.

Mine play wii party and Just Dance most of the time. They are 3, 6, 9 and 11 and a mix of boys and girls. Bigger 2 want mario kart for Christmas.

My lot like the Mario games, and the Lego ones.

We've bought U Draw for Christmas (it was reduced in the sales). I. think my 5 year old might like that.

Skylanders is great for 4 and 6yo but be aware you will need to buy extra Skylanders (the game comes with three but you need one of each element i.e. eight) so it works out more expensive. The Sports Resort games are good for littleuns too.

Wii Party, Wii Sports Resort and Mario Party are good games as an introduction to the Wii and mutliple players playing together. Make sure you get enough Wii remotes (Wii Party can be bought in a box with a Wii Remote).

Thanks all. Some good ideas in there!

Would a dance game be suitable for 4 yo girl, would she be able to follow it?

The 4yo might struggle with the dance a bit but she could have a good go at it. We got a wii as a family present last Christmas. DD (now 7) absolutely loves the "just dance" games and does the dances better than I can!! Have just bought Just Dance 4 as a Christmas present for her.

We have other games too, but tbh, the dance ones are the only ones any of us really play. Get an extra wii-mote controller if you can afford it, so that two people can play at once.

we have the dance junior ones which are easier to follow (dd's 7, 5 and 3) Thsi afternoon they've been playing nicleodeon wii fit with dora etc which kept them amused for a while!

Agree with the suggestion of wii sports resort. Also the mario Olympics one. Ashes cricket 2009 good if you have a cricket fan, or fifa13 for football ( thinking of the 15 year old but ds has been playing those 2 from age 5-6)&

Ps for wii sports resort I think you need a "motion plus" remote. Probably comes as standard now but I had to upgrade ours.

Warioware smooth moves is a classic too.

I have got science papa which is similar to cooking mama (which is good)

I also adore rhythm paradise and big brain academy, hard for younger ones though.

Wii music might be good for including youngest as it isn't competitive.

Smooth Moves is class - the kids do it and I laugh at the narrative Grin

I don't like Super Mario Galaxy myself it's too hard but would recommend Mario Kart and Kirby's Epic Adventure.

Wii party - easily the most played game here on Wii by all the family.

My 6 and 8 year olds love Mario and Sonic at the Olympics. DD (6) likes the dance ones, she was using Dance Junior quite happily aged 4.

Another crucial question.......what are the best deals out there for buying a Wii?

Amazon has a blue one for £89 but its a very bright blue!

The blue one is the latest model wii. Does it come with the sonic Olympics? £89 is a good price.
