Please help.....rather trivial but how do you put lights ona cghristmas tree?

I tend to "wrap" them around starting at the bottom but they always look just like that, wrapped around...

How do you all doo it please?

I unravel them, check they work then start at the top of the tree near the fairy and zig zag down ( I don't put them at the back of the tree cos' no one sees them.

Yes, like Pancake says. The string of lights just sits on the tops of the branches. When you have done, switch them on and make any slight adjustments before you put on the decorations.

I start at the top and wind round as our tree is at the window and the back can be seen so I like to have some lights there. I then switch them on and adjust them as required. Starting from the top means the cable leading to the plug ends up near the ground and makes it easier to plug in.

I use two sets of light so start them off from the bottom (right as thats better access to the plug) go across loop onto next row going left to right and keep doing this until I run out (usually 2/3 up) then start next set.

I go right round the tree, it is in the corner and I probably cover 3/4 hence going across, up then across and repeat IYSWIM ?. One thing I do find easier is to not open out the branches until I have put the lights on

Thank you all. I should have added that I have a real tree which adds to the lack of balance I think

So I wrap in a zig zag way and then go up and repeat...
Will try on Sunday Smile
