Hi Ladies
Really need some advice. I have recently moved back in with my dp and have been worrying about xmas arrangements. Thing is Dp and dps are not speaking at all so the dilemma i have is where do i spend christmas day? We have a 2 year old and we have been invited to my nans for dinner which is where ive been every year apart from the first year i was with dp and i cooked for just me and him. And to be honest it was lovely just was a bit boring. Last year dp went to his sisters and we went to my nans but we wasnt living together then. we have discussed this and Dp has said he might not go to his sisters this year just stay in the house. I would feel awful leaving him and going to my nans, but i cant imagine not seeing my family on xmas day. Plus our kitchen is bloody freezing and not very nice to cook in. Me and dd are going bowling with my family on xmas eve so i dont know whether to just bite the bullet and see my family in the morning and spend xmas dinner at home with dp.
Thankyou so much for reading and any advice is appreciated!!

I'd consider splitting the day as you said. It'd be a shame for you and DC to miss out on the fun but I'd be a bit weirded out about leaving DP at home alone all day too.

It's dps choice though - I'd go to my family.

Why aren't they talking? Surely for your dd they should all make the effort?

Unfortunately i think it would be far too awkward if i forced them to speak so im hoping that in time they will do it on there own. I could spend the morning with dp and then go to my nans for dinner then go back to dp for the evening. Im getting a wii to put in our xmas eve hamper as a surprise so we can play on that and eat goodies all night.
